Petrol v Diesel

So the debate rages on! It has certainly become a more popular discussion among van enthusiasts since the recent surge in fuel prices, and will no doubt be a topic of discussion for many more years yet. My personal opinion is that all in all there isn’t much difference nowadays in terms of cost (except when driving around town where it seems diesel does offer more miles to the gallon). Previously I was always of the opinion that even though Diesel cost more at the pumps, the benefit was gained through having those extra few miles driving before I had to fill up again. However, with the prices of fuel as they are today – it doesn’t make that much difference whether I am using my used Ford Transit or my used Mercedes Sprinter. (more…)

Mini MPV – Vauxhall Agila

This model by Vauxhall is more than interesting due to the fact it combines several features. First, the used Vauxhall Agila is a mixture of an ordinary car and a mini multi-purpose vehicle. Secondly, it seems to be a unique combination of major functions one may find in passenger cars. Equipped with a 1.2 litre petrol or a 1.3 litre diesel engines and a five speed manual gearbox, the car is able to deliver a smooth and comfortable ride as well as A-road motoring. The interior of the used Vauxhall Agila is pretty funky appealing mostly to the younger generation. It is full of bright colours and presents a modern design. Entertainment is delivered by a CD MP3 compatible player. (more…)
