Volkswagen promote the release of the new shape / style Scirocco as being the “return of an icon”, which is probably the most accurate descriptive that could be used. Having seen a number of different colours and trims of the Scirocco in the flesh, I can certainly vouch for it being a real stunner in the looks department as it carries with it a design that is just no unique. Volkswagen say that the new Scirocco is their most advanced Coupe yet when talking about the technology that the car possesses and this is one of the main reasons for the vehicle achieving the 2008 Top Gear Car of the Year award. Available in three different models; Standard, GT and the R, the Scirocco is once again becoming a firm fans’ favourite and all levels mark huge improvements on the previous used Volkswagen Scirocco from the past. Currently costing between £18,860 and £29,805 (R Model without additional extras), it means that a good proportion of the market will have access to at least one version of the vehicle. In fact, the Scirocco follows suit with many other VW cars in that they are reasonably priced. Another great feature of the vehicle is that it comes available in a variety of different engines, which will satisfy many drivers. For example there is the standard 1.4 litre TSI and the top of the range 2.0 litre TSI with 265PS; the latter being just perfect for those that like a bit of an extra kick when driving.
